Scarsdale Diet Overview

Scarsdale diet is a hugely famous diet in the '70's being introduced by Dr Herman Tarnower, who ran a clinic in the town of the same name and created the diet for overweight patients.  Scarsdale diet contains 43% protein, 22.5% fat and 34.5% carbohydrate.  Tarnower claimed that this level of carb would trigger ketosis, weight loss would be fast and hunger under control.  Dieters are supposed to follow the weight-reducing scarsdale diet strictly for 2 weeks at a time only.
